Babylon Turns On Istanbul On! Babylon opened its doors in 1999 as a multi-purpose performance center and is Turkey’s leading live music venue. Babylon presents a monthly program featuring eclectic selections from jazz to reggae, world music to electronica, Latin to Turkish vibes as well as indie pop and rock acts. Its capacity is 450 standing and 300 seated. Babylon was named one of the best 100 jazz clubs by Downbeat Magazine in 2002 and 2004 and is acclaimed for its variety and intimacy.

The dual came together under the name Fundamental Knowledge at 1992 and took their current names at 1996.
