MUjdat Gezen was born in Istanbul, Fatih in 1943. He made his first appearance on the stage at Hirka-i serif primary school in 1953. In the same year his poems were published in the magazine, Dogan Kardes Children. He also participated in a children′s chorus club in Istanbul Radio.
