Ikuo Hirayama Exhibition - Pera Museum

Pera Museum Istanbul is hosting an exhibition by Japanese Nihonga artist Ikuo Hirayama. Hirayama (1930-2009) used the Silk Road as the main theme of his paintings, and he visited Turkey several times during his more than 100 journeys on this route.

He was also was the Goodwill Ambassador to UNESCO The exhibition will run from the 6th August - 3rd October and is being run as part of the 2010 Japan Year in Turkey.

The exhibition is organized in cooperation with the Hirayama Ikuo Silk Road Museum Foundation and the Consulate General of Japan.
