Diane Schuur is a Grammy-award winning musician who is referred to by her peers and the music press as the “first lady of jazz”, a title previously held by Billie Holiday. Following her birth, as a result of a rare complication, Diane Schuur lost her ability to see.  Afterwards the artist is discovered by Stan Getz, while she’s singing “Amazing Grace” at the Monterey Jazz festival. Schuur cultivated herself as an artist under the watch of Stan Getz and by working with the likes of Nancy Reagan. Having released countless albums to date, the artist is awared with 2 Grammys.
