During the era of Swing, Count Basie’s Orchestra was one of the most important bands of its time. Count himself led the orchestra that made him famous for over 50 years. Over the course of this half a century, important musicians such as Buck Clayton performed with the band as did star-studded vocalists such as Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald. Following the death of Count Basie in 1984, the group continued to perform under the name “Ghost Band”. The Orchestra will feature the powerful vocals of Carmen Bradford.
